1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sieve ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Sieve is an email classification tool that connects to your Gmail account via Google OAuth and automatically categorizes emails. The Service offers both a free tier and a paid Pro tier with additional features.

3. Account and Access

You must sign in with a Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. The Service requires read-only access to your Gmail — we cannot send, modify, or delete your emails.

4. Free and Pro Tiers

  • Free tier: Rule-based email classification, up to 50 synced emails, basic filters.
  • Pro tier ($6.99/month): AI-powered classification fallback, unlimited email sync, daily digest emails, subscription tracking, custom sender rules, and 500 AI classifications per month. Cancel anytime.

5. Payment, Cancellation, and Refunds

Pro tier is a monthly subscription ($6.99/month) processed through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time — your Pro access will remain active through the end of your current billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us for assistance. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to missed emails, incorrect classifications, or service interruptions.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion removes all your data from our systems, including email metadata, classifications, and preferences. This action is irreversible.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
